When Capital One, a financial services Fortune 500 Company formed in 1996, decided to build a new corporate headquarters building, they selected Ai Architecture as prime consultant. The new headquarters is a 14-story 500,000 square foot building located in McLean, Virginia. The building consists of office space, commercial space, a conference center, a cafeteria with a kitchen, a fitness center, an outside dining terrace, and an underground parking garage.
Located between L and M Streets, NW in downtown Washington, DC., 1129 20th Street is an existing 8 story building that was constructed in 1968 and had no significant upgrades until the renovation was begun in 2007.

Built in 1968, the building had no significant renovations and was at the end of its useful lifespan. 1400 Crystal Drive provided a great opportunity to recycle and reposition an existing Class B structure into a state-of-the-art, Class A office building. The property is designed to attain LEED Gold certification.
